An Australian First - Creative Block - Presented by Print Blocks

Last month the Print Blocks national distribution centre in Wacol, Queensland played host to more than 18 international guests and artists for the first ever Creative Block trade event. Kristy Evans, Editor of Scrapbooking Memories and Emily McQueen, Editor of Cardmkaing, Stamping & Papercraft were invited to attend this fantastic event and had an amazing time with all who attended. The event, the likes of which has never before been seen in the scrapbooking industry in Australia, ran over three days and consisted of classes from some of our favourite brands. International guests from major US scrapbooking companies attended, along with retailers and media for the opportunity to network with peers, take part in classes and ‘make ‘n takes’ and share and learn product knowledge. Event Coordinator Lynette Carol says the aim of Creative Block was to provide an educational program unlike any offered before.

The event was an amazing opportunity for retailers to meet the best in the business. Attendees travelled form far and wide, with some retailer’s coming all the way from New Zealand! Brands such as Bo Bunny, Core’dinations, docrafts Creativity, EK Success Brands (K&Company/Inkadinkado), Ezy Shaid, Fancy Pants Designs, Fiskars, Graphic 45, Imaginsce, Maya Road, Making Memories, Me & My Big Ideas, Paper Vogue, Provo Craft, Sizzix Ellison and We R Memory Keepers were all represented at the event, which meant attendees were given the chance to learn from the experts from the brands we all know and love.

Creative Block was a huge success and all the Print Blocks staff and volunteers did a fantastic job of pulling it all together. After such a huge event in the scrapbooking industry calendar, the only question left to ask is … when will the next Creative Block be?
