SIA 2010 - What if ...

“What if we all spent two days together sharing our tremendous passion – sharing the process, the product and the FUN with each other? What if we showed our customer’s a fresh approach, an experience they’ll never forget, a renewed sense of self? What if we really celebrated the importance of documenting family history and the way that makes us feel?” www.sia2010.blogspot.com

What if there was an event designed specifically to support and unite the local scrapbooking industry in Australia? This was the idea behind this year’s Scrapbooking Industry Australia’s (SIA) Trade Event held at the start of this month in Sydney. This year’s show, the third annual SIA Trade Event, was bigger than ever providing a platform across which all facets of the industry could meet. For two whole days – and one very fun crop night! – Sydney Olympic Park came alive with retailers, wholesalers and creative experts who all share one thing in common – a passion to keep the scrapbooking industry alive and strong in Australia!

With international guests including Becky Fleck www.pagemaps.com , Paula Cheney and Debbie Crowse www.sevengypsies.com , Heidi Swapp and Wendy Senger www.tatteredangels.com , Lori Craig www.splitcoaststampers.com and www.copic.com, Marianne Walker www.copic.com , Nic Howard www.nichoward.typepad.com , Micheal Stephens and Adam baker www.primamarketinginc.com , the event was full of excitement and positive energy surrounding our local scrapbooking industry. Local designers were also out in force with tutors from many of our favourite brands.
