Every now and then I come across an artwork, book, drawing or image that totally blows me away; something that makes me stop and take in the beauty and form, and this week it happened again. I received a glorious recipe book in the mail and I've been inspired ever since.
Now, this recipe book is not just any old cookbook; it has motivated me to not only step into the kitchen and create, but it has also inspired me to scrapbook, make cards, draw and even resort back to the art of writing letters to loved ones.

While cleaning up my craft room the other day I discovered a whole heap of leftover odds and ends, in all shapes and sizes. One of my worst traits is that I'm a hoarder and hate to throw anything out, so I decided I needed a way to store these items for 'later use'. I decided to separate all these little bits and pieces - including buttons, ribbons, paper off-cuts, loose brads and rhinestones - and store them in colour groups for easy reference later on. This is perhaps one of the best ideas I've ever had!
It's only a few more sleeps 'till Santa squeezes himself down our chimneys, but here at the EMG offices some little Christmas elves have been delivering gifts already! The lovely Jane Clark, Technical Editor of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft, delivered some absolutely stunning gifts to the Scrapbooking Memories team this week - she is one very talented little cookie!
