A Farewell for Kristy

Scrapbooking Memories Editor Kristy Evans recently left us for a couple of years adventuring around Europe. (Anyone else jealous?) Of course, we couldn’t send her off without a handmade card to show how much she'd be missed…

There’s a lot of people in our office and the card needed to be super-sized to give everyone enough room to sign. So I folded a 12x12 sheet of card in half for the base then covered it with a busy map design. This set the theme and helped fill the large surface area.

The travel quote is a favourite of mine, taken from J R R Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, and I thought the chipboard lamppost was a good motif to use, as it’s reminiscent of the cities Kristy will be visiting. Rows of rhinestones and alphabet letters pulled it all together.
