We've just started putting together our Knitting special, which is full of great winter warming ideas. One of my personal favorite projects is this smock designed by Jan Knight, and we couldn’t resist showing it off around the office. So here it is modeled by the latest member of our team, Angela (with the help of a few of the stuffed toys I keep on my desk).
Another Christmas is past, and a new year begins. Here in the office, we were fortunate enough to have a couple of weeks off. I had the best intentions in the world to make a load of things, but got distracted by buying more supplies than I’ll ever have time to use. The picture here is just a selection of the fat quarters I got on my most recent trip to my local store. No idea what I will make out of them – but I’m thinking the bright fabrics would look nice as a bag or perhaps a softie.
I love Christmas. I mean I really love Christmas, and with 6 weeks to go, I think it’s about time we all embraced the festivities. I’ve already started decorating the office with a few sparkly pieces, and I’m busy planning what Christmas crafts I’ll be making. At the moment the top of my list consists of some reindeer softies and a patchwork table runner, but I’m also toying with the idea of creating a felted nativity set.
But for tonight, I’m going to make my first batch of gingerbread! Now I just have to decide if I want to use treacle or maple syrup?
