Missing in Action

By: Danielle Tebb

When our magazine stylists and photographers go out on location, I'm always eager to see what magic they have worked with the projects. They are truly talented people and the things they can do with styling, props and lighting are something to behold. Often there are little extras in the background - and sometimes foreground - that get lost as we design the pages in the magazine. A case in point was Bobbie Small's Fields of Flowers from CT Vol 10 No 3. When you look at the upper left-hand section of the image in the magazine, you'll notice a whitish oval that looks like a rock. Not so! A couple of ducks posed for us in the background, but they were lost to view when we enlarged the image to provide more detail of the project. Now you'll spend your time wondering what might have been happening off-page in our project photos.
