Linda L - Textile Artist

Description

A few of my textile works. They're my own design - often using scraps, offcuts or experimental pieces. The first bag has a lace flower from a digitised design (not mine) I stitched out. The cords were made by zigzag stitching over yarns and the beads were made using a heat gun.

Pictures 5 & 6 are done with dispersal dyes on synthetic fabrics. The wrap has a free machine embroidered lace border.

The last bag is also dispersal dyed then stitched and cloqued.

You can see more of my work on my blog: www.linda-stokes.blogspot.com

Material Notes
I mostly use my own dyed/printed fabrics for my bags, covered journals, wallpieces, etc.

That's fantastic! I love it!

Lovely work you are very talented

Thanks for the kind comments on my work.

Fantastic. I love it. Do you have patterns for the main bag?

Thanks Jan!
I don't always use a pattern for my bags. I usually make them up to suite the fabric I've created so sorry no pattern but this one is very simple.

Fabulous ideas and gorgeous bright colours - I'm inspired now!.

Just love your creativity. The work with dyes and machine have taken you hours! Happy freestyling.

Lovely work.

I love it! i especially love how you have created the cord yourself!

Hi Linda,
