The Bunbury Patchwork and Quilting Group

Description

The Bunbury Patchwork and Quilting Group has been together for nearly 30 years – and it’s still going strong!

The group started when a small number of women who had been attending some patchwork classes decided to keep meeting regularly once the lessons were finished. “Some of those founding members, Pat Pyke and Edie May are still attending meetings,” reveals Challenge coordinator Helen Wheeler, “and have been made life members along with other long-term members Anne Lindsay, Janet Perrin and Betty Beauglehole.” Over the years, the group has grown into a more formal organisation, adopting office bearers, holding an annual general meeting and distributing a quarterly newsletter, but its friendly, caring and fun-loving nature has remained the same with workshops and challenges playing an important role in its activities.

I am interested in joining this group. I live in Binningup and go to Trish Laings Janome Centre weekly to Machine embroider, patchwork etc. I do recognise some of the members in the photo.
