Members of the Toowoomba Quilters Group create a raffle quilt annually to raise funds for a local charity. In 2009 funds raised from the raffle quilt went to the local BlueCare group. In 2010 our raffle quilt will raise funds for the local MS Support Group to go towards their fund-raising efforts in establishing a Youngcare facility in the Darling Downs region - a much needed facility for young sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis. The quilt was made by Group members and quilted by Kathy Adams at KoolKat Quilting. Tickets are now on sale at $2 each and the raffle will be drawn at the Group's Open Day on 6th November. The quilt will be on display at the Annual Exhibition to be held at St Ursula's Hall in Toowoomba during the Carnival of Flowers (17-26 September).
