My trusty assistant

Description

My helper, who stuporvises my work, lends a paw and is a fantastic fabric weight.

He must have final say in all works.

If they are not good enough to sleep on then he does not care.

I have a blue russian who 'helps' me with my quilting as well and does not hesitate to let me know when he feels that I need to take a break and play him more attention.

I also have an assistant who likes to help. Mousie loves to sit on the keyboard, the top of the sewing machine or anything i have just put down or trying to read.

I also have three DOGS who love to give me the final once-over when Im laying out the batting for construction! I have just made my first quilt and am about to machine quilt it! I had to put up a baby gate to keep everyone out while I set everything Up!!!

My mum made a quilt for my nephew's 21st back in January. My older brother (nephew's dad) sent a photo 2 days later showing the 'seal of approval' - one of their cats asleep on the quilt! The just seems to be something about cats and quilts!

Cats n quilts. Whenever I sew and chill out. I often concentrate or is it my own little world to find 2 large lumps under the other side of my machine (especially when I am chain peicing) to think I have acheived a lot but low and behold my 2 Ragdoll cats appear from under the pile. O well they love me. My little helpers.

I absolutley love it how your cats always find their way onto quilts or the fabric that you are using!

I personally think that cats and quilts go hand in hand, I also have a russian blue however he is a bitza and had white socks and a mask.

I had a Tabby point siamese by name of Tiglyn, that had to have his say in my quilts. I ended up making him his own quilt. The next cat I had was part ragdoll called Oliver, he also loved to be in or on my work. The cat I have now is a great big ginger mog called Dalziel and he loves to knead the fabric as it lays on the table. If it is hanging over the side of the table he pulls it down and goes to sleep on my work. These are the three cats I have had in the past 8 years that I have lived in Tasmania. The first two were run over by some idiot speeding down our road. No doubt in a hurry to be where they should have been earlier than they were going to be.
