Scrap Dresden Plates

Description

This Dresden Plate quilt was just great for using up all of those little scraps (the ones we can't throw out) Each piece of the "plate" was rotary cut with a template, machine pieced together and then the completed circle was appliqued onto the background square with a very small blanket stitch. The sashing strips add a little contrast and size. I have then used more scraps for a random strippy border. It's also been machine quilted by me.

Looks great. I love scrappy quilts as well. It is fun getting to use more of your selection of fabrics.

I love scrappy ideas. I'm sure the scraps I'm keeping are too small to be useful for anything.
