Ginkgo Blues
Description
Brilliant yellow-green leaves on a ginkgo tree set against the deep blue sky in late afternoon had Nicole Bridges scrambling for her camera – and this quilt design was born.
Nicole was inspired by a copse of ginkgo trees she came across in the gardens of the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art while travelling. Ginkgo Blues combines a pieced background with leaves done in fused-appliqué, with three-dimensional handpainted Lutradur leaves added as an optional embellishment.
